English Cocker Spaniel Field Trial Hall of Fame Committee Meeting
September 23, 2020 – 7:00 pm CST (Conference Call)
In attendance were: Bethann Wiley, John Bishop, Sheryl Mayo, Robin Putnam, Terry Oliver, Keith Meissner, Jeff Janousek

New Business
- Update on carry-over nominations and new nominations
Review the process and procedures from our By-laws. Discuss each nominee – vote in October
A review of the process for voting on nominees occurred. Up to 2 dogs and 2 individuals may be inducted each year but that is not required. The actual vote will take place at the October meeting. A general discussion of each nomination will occur tonight in order to raise any questions that need further research for a nominee.

- Look ahead to committee member terms for 2021.
The terms for Sheryl Mayo, Keith Meissner and Bethann Wiley end at the end of this year. They have all served two terms so new committee members will need to take their places per the by-laws. The committee will be in search of individuals interested in serving on the committee that have a good knowledge of cocker trial history both of the people and the dogs. Per the by-laws if more than 3 people are interested in the positions an election will be held.
All three have agreed to serve as a resource to the 2021 committee.

The website information for this program needs to be updated and the plaque needs to be made and hung at the Hall of Fame. Emails will be sent out to advertise this program for fundraising for the ECFT Hall of Fame. People that have already paid for a plate on the plaque will be identified and added to the new plaque.
