English Cocker Spaniel Field Trial Hall of Fame Committee Meeting

October 04, 2016 – 7:00 pm CST (Conference Call)

In attendance were:  Bethann Wiley, Sheryl Mayo, Larry Hansen, Keith Meissner, Pete Rizzo

Absent: Kat Romanski (ECSCA Historian), AR Ginn, Rob Cotiaux,

Old Business 

1.  Update description of criteria to be a member of the HoF Committee.  Bethann is currently working on updating the HoF Member criteria.  She will get back to the committee with the updates.

New Business

1.  Vote on nominees.  (Move to Executive Session)
2.  Pete and Bethann will be at the NCC in order to present the inductions.
3.  Net meeting date – November 8th Need to work on nominations for committee members for 2017.  Keith, Pete and Rob’s terms are up at the end of this year.  If anyone has nominations for HoF representatives they should send them to Bethann.
4.  Keith stated that the HoF has a need for fundraising to cover our operating costs, framing, trophies, etc.  A Field Trial to benefit the Hall of Fame is something that we may want to look into.  The FTC is also working hard to put together a National Cocker Amateur Championship, the HoF might be able to benefit from the hosting of the NCAC.  The profits from which could go toward Showcases, Acquiring Trophies, Scholarships promoting the youth in our sport etc…
