Beau was a top competitor in his day. As noted with his points and placements, he owned 1st or 2nd place when he was in contention, achieving 10 wins and 8 seconds among various other placements and Guns Awards. Beau competed in Open and Amateur stakes, earning a total of 83 points in both the United States and Canada, and was successfully handled by both Vicky Thomas and Paul McGagh. What makes Beau unique from other dogs is his progeny—Beau sired four National Champions in his lifetime, a feat not achieved by any other English Cocker to date in the United States and not likely to occur anytime soon, if ever.
Kate Romanski Memorial Plaque
In addition to the induction ceremony for FC Corazon Beau, a memorial plaque and a copy of The Review featuring Kate were placed in the English Cocker section of the Bird Dog Museum in Grand Junction, TN. The cocker field trial community is forever grateful to Kate for her support throughout the years for field trials, as well as the work and dedication she gave to help establish our wing at the Bird Dog Museum.
