English Cocker Spaniel Field Trial Hall of Fame Committee Meeting
December 05, 2017 – 7:00 pm CST (Conference Call)
In attendance were: Bethann Wiley, Sheryl Mayo, Larry Hansen, Rob Cotiaux, Kate Romanski (ESCA Historian)
Absent: John Bishop, Keith Meissner, Jeff Janousek
Old Business
- Nomination Review Process (see Hall of Fame By-laws & Operating Procedure attached)
Bethann had previously sent By-laws and Operating Procedure documents to all Hall of Fame Committee Members to review for the upcoming nomination. The procedures and process for Hall of Fame nominations were reviewed for everyone’s understanding.
- Induction Update.
Bethann has received a very nice photo from Helen Drake and Fred Bradley of Jill. Ollie Ginn is working on sending photos of Megan and A.R. The information has been sent to Tonya at the Bird Dog Hall of Fame for the invitations to be sent out. Bethann is working with Dave Fletcher on the scrolls, wall plates and the bios for the induction booklet.
- Kate shared that she has many photos that we can add to the computer display at the Hall of Fame. It is currently not working so that will get looked at and fixed in February at the Induction ceremony and then hopefully these can be added to the collection.
New Business
- 2018 Committee – the following members have agreed to stay on in 2018.
Bethann Wiley – 2018-2020 (2nd term)
Keith Meissner – 2018-2020 (2nd term)
Sheryl Mayo – 2018-2020 (2nd term)
John Bishop – 2017-2019 (1st term)
Jeff Janousek – 2017-2019 (1st term)
Robb Cotiaux – 2017-2019 (2nd term)
Larry Hansen – completed 2 terms
Several nominations were received – Bethann is contacting them to see if they are interested in serving on the committee.
Update January 2018 – Terry Oliver has accepted the nomination. There was no other interested nominees to there will not be an election. Terry’s term will be from 2018-2020.
- 2018 Calendar– Keep it similar to 2017 which we felt worked well
March – Meeting of the Hall of Fame Committee
May – Meeting of the Hall of Fame Committee
June 1 – Aug. 31 Hall of Fame nominations accepted
September – Meeting of the Hall of Fame Committee
October – Meeting of the Hall of Fame Committee
