ECSFTHF Committee Meeting Thursday, October 17, 2013

Present were Dennis Joannides, A.R. Ginn, Hob Brown, Barbara Haupt, Peter Rizzo, Sue Rose and Larry Hansen.

The meeting commenced at 9 p.m. EDT and concluded at 10:00 pm EDT.

AGENDA

***APPROVAL OF SEPTEMBER MINUTES 

There were no corrections or additions to the minutes, A.R. moved and Hob seconded the minutes be accepted. They can be found on the website www.EnglishCockerHallOfFame.com

*** DISCUSSION OF HOF NOMINATION – INDIVIDUALS 

The five nominees were discussed individually and a vote was taken.  Barbara moved and Larry seconded that the results be accepted by acclamation.  The motion was approved unanimously by individual roll call vote. 

*** DISCUSSION OF HOF NOMINATION – DOGS 

The four nominees were discussed individually and a vote was taken.  Two dogs were chosen unanimously on the first vote.  Each HFC member present reaffirmed their decision by roll call voice vote.  

NEW BUSINESS

***DISCUSSION OF HOW THE RESULTS ARE TO BE ANNOUNCED TO THE FIELD 

The results of the election will be announced at the 2013 NCC Banquet.

***DISTRIBUTION OF WALL OF CHAMPIONS APPLICATION FORMS 

Dennis will make copies of the form and they will be distributed from Sue Rose’s table at the 2013 NCC.  Barbara will send the application form to Wendy to publish on the Hall of Fame website.

***PINS WITH HOF LOGO

The committee members agreed it would be a good idea to promote the ECFTHF if we distributed pins with the EcsHF logo.  We decided to buy 100 of the pins at the committee members’ personal expense.  Terry Reckart will bring them to the 2013 NCC for distribution.

***FOUNDER’s PLAQUE 

Dennis stated the plaque was quite nice.  He will bring it with him to the NCc so people can see it prior to its being on display in Grand Junction in the ECSFT exhibit.

*** ELECTION RESULTS FOR ECSFTHF COMMITTEE AT LARGE POSITIONS 

The new At-large members elected to the committee are Robb Cotiaux,, Keith Meissner, and Pete Rizzo.  Present committee members expressed their appreciation to Sue Rose and Dennis Joannides for their hard work, their accomplishments, and commitment to the field bred English cocker and their place in the Bird Dog Hall of Fame.

The next meeting will be held December 5, 2013 at 9 p.m. EST.  The meeting was adjourned at 10 p.m. EDT.
